The East Window is the focal point of the church from which the whole building stems and to which it flows. The lower section is to speak of the Incarnation, the Word made flesh, in the Christmas story. It relates closely to the altar where the Word is made flesh in the Blessed Sacrament. The middle section is to speak of Redemption and Salvation through the saving work of Christ in his crucifiction and resurrection. The new window also (by incorporating the garden and the empty tomb) depicts the truth that Christ is risen, and our resurrection hope. The upper section is to speak of God, a Trinity in Unity, the source of all being, of light and love, and who is the ultimate destiny of our human journey - Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The Dove of the Holy Spirit is placed centrally to give prominence, surrounding the Dove is a sunburst representing God the Father, the Creator. The new window lends itself to a blaze of glory making this truly the 'high point' of the church.
