Design
The window was designed and created for the church to coincide with the millennium.
Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus are shown in the right hand light, Joseph is holding a lantern and with the other hand is welcoming the three Kings with their gifts and the two shepherds. Various images of local scenery and buildings were also to be incorporated into the design. These included:
The coat of arms of Blackburn Diocese.
St James' shield (Blue background with three gold shells).
A picture of the church.
A picture of the school and its coat of arms "Pemberton of Heskin".
A picture of Wrightington hospital.
A hill scene with a windmill on top.
