Our conservation principles prioritise the retention of original historic glass wherever possible. Each fragment of old glass carries evidence of past craftsmanship, materials, and techniques, making it an irreplaceable part of a building’s heritage. Our approach is based on minimal intervention: damaged areas are stabilised, cracks may be edge-bonded or supported, and only severely deteriorated elements are replaced, always using compatible materials. Where required, we incorporate discreet protective glazing systems to shield vulnerable windows from environmental damage while allowing essential ventilation. This ensures the stained glass remains both structurally secure and historically authentic for future generations.
